Cycling and weather update
30/11/11
We bought Harry a bike back in June for his birthday. At my request the bike shop very kindly removed the cranks, chainset and brakes to convert it into a balance bike. They also reversed the seat clamp to lower the seat as much as possible but it was still too high for him, so after a couple of outings we stopped using it.
Now he’s grown the extra inch or so he needed to be able to use it and he’s doing really well!
…but I think the weather is going to spoil my plans to have him cycling by the end of the week

UPDATE: This snow didn’t stick around for long
Harry accent update: inconclusive

Lily had a sleepover at Isabel’s on Saturday night, so we took Harry out for dinner at our favourite local restaurant Woodlot. They were quite busy but they sat us at a counter opposite the bar. Harry shared our food – he particularly enjoyed my shiitake mushrooms and Caroline’s lentils, and it was nice to hang out with him. On the way home we stopped at the school playground to let him do some climbing… and singing!

I don’t know anything about him, he just appeared on my desk this morning…
Lily accent update

Lily’s school was closed last Friday so we went to the Royal Ontario Museum to check out the new Maya exhibition
I actually thought that, besides the obvious changes (like pronouncing Ts as Ds), her accent hadn’t changed a lot… until I compared it with this one from last year:

Happy Birthday Caroline!
05/11/11

We’re in Quebec City having a mini-break for Caroline’s birthday. I’ll post some photos later (honest) but in the meantime thanks to everyone who sent a photo for the card, she was really delighted! There are a few extra pictures behind the back row – I ran out of space, but I did include everyone who sent a photo.
Halloween

The weekend before last we bought pumpkins, last Sunday night we carved them, Monday we went Trick or Treating and yesterday I lectured the kids about the evils of high fructose corn syrup…
It’s fine to be a spoilsport once it’s all over!
